Angela Vance is the Associate State Director for Advocacy for AARP West Virginia.
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization that helps people 50+ have independence, choice and control in ways that are beneficial and affordable to them and society as a whole. Formerly the Public Policy Director for the West Virginia Alzheimer’s Association, Angela was influential in positioning the Alzheimer’s Association as the primary resource for information and referral regarding Alzheimer’s disease. Angela is a graduate of Marshall University and a former social worker, working in direct social service settings as well as program development. After leaving the social work practice Angela worked for the West Virginia House of Delegates. With this experience she moved into positions managing various statewide programs for non- profit organizations. Angela resides in Charleston.
