Ron Witt is a native of Wheeling and a graduate of Wheeling Park High School. He attended West Liberty University, formerly West Liberty State College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Travel and Tourism Management in 1992. After graduation, Ron worked as a sales executive for Oglebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling before being hired as Manager/Director of the Wheeling Artisan Center by the Wheeling National Heritage Area Corporation. Ron returned to his alma mater in 1997 as Director of Alumni Association. In addition to his responsibilities as Alumni Director, Ron also serves as a development officer for the University and manages the Liberty Oaks Alumni House Bed & Breakfast. He was an instructor of Hospitality & Tourism Management for the WLU College of Business for nearly two years and was also co-owner of a local travel agency. Ron, who earned his Executive Masters of Business Administration from West Virginia University in 2004, lives in Triadelphia with his wife, Denise, and daughter, Emily.
