LEADERSHIP WEST VIRGINIA 2018 CLASS UNVEILS SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN AIMED UNITING WEST VIRGINIANS AROUND A COMMON THEME – #CHOOSEWV
Charleston, WV – Leadership West Virginia’s Class of 2018 has kicked off a campaign, #ChooseWV, which is aimed at uniting West Virginians at home and across the country around a common theme of hope for our state and people. The campaign is divided into three common themes – “Choose West Virginia: For Work. For Family. For Life.”
“The #ChooseWV video, social media campaign and website were developed as a method to share what is great about the state we love,” said Campaign Coordinator, Rachel Dyer. “In addition to providing resources and information about our state, we want people near and far to show off why they ‘choose West Virginia’ so that others might benefit from all we have to offer.”
The website provides information about available jobs, great places to live and visit, and ways that people can live their lives to the fullest in our beautiful state.
“West Virginia is a source of pride and hope. Whether you are West Virginia grown but residing elsewhere, a current West Virginian, or a potential West Virginian, the campaign wants to remind you that this state is beautiful, its people are strong and have grit to overcome challenges, and its future is what we make it,” said Dyer.

The video was produced by Mountain Craft Production in Fairmont. The website was produced by The Manahan Group in Charleston. The cost to produce the materials was donated by 55 members of the Leadership class who feel strongly that West Virginia is a great place to work, raise a family and live.
Leadership West Virginia is an innovative program of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce that grows, engages and mobilizes leaders to ignite a lifelong passion to move West Virginia forward.
