Roberta Ferrell

President
Jackson County Board of Education
PO Box 770
Ripley,West Virginia 25271
Class 2019

My name is Roberta Ferrell, but I am better known as “Bobbi Ferrell.” I am from Ripley, West Virginia and have lived in Ripley my whole life. I have two wonderful children, Colby (13) and Lacey (10). They are my most precious and prized possessions! I am a Ripley Viking Alumni, class of 2000. I continued my education at West Virginia University Institute of Technology, and graduated from there with my associates degree in dental hygiene. After working in the dental field for seven years, I took a break from that and started investing in real estate. Currently I own BLC, LLC, which is a limited liability corporation that manages real estate properties, and am also investing my time into my community! In 2016 I was elected as a member to the Jackson County Board of Education. I am currently the President of the Jackson County Board of Education. I also am a member of the City of Ripley Event Committee, the City of Ripley Utility Board, and the City of Ripley Parks Advisory Council. It is very important to me to invest in my community and give back what it has given to me. Growing up in Ripley / Jackson County has definitely played a major role in who I have become today, and for that I am extremely thankful. I am a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and am active in it, and co-lead our middle/high school youth program.

I am extremely excited about being chosen to participate in Leadership West Virginia 2019! This is an amazing opportunity for me to network with people from all around the state. My hope is through that networking and the knowledge I will gain from Leadership WV, I will help bring success to my Jackson County community and our wonderful state!
