Class 2019

Born and raised in Sistersville, WV, I moved to Huntington, WV to attend Marshall University. I obtained both my undergraduate and M.B.A. degrees from Marshall. While in graduate school, a fraternity brother of mine, whom was a bank manager, helped me get a day job as a teller at his bank. This job was intended to only last two years, as it helped me work during the day while attend graduate school at night; however it has since bloomed into a career. Right before I received my M.B.A., the bank for which I worked offered me an opportunity to join their management trainee program; which allowed me to work in every division and job function in the organization to obtain a well-rounded knowledge of banking operations and to eventually be placed into a permanent role for which I excelled. After completion of the management training program, I was asked to move to Athens, Ohio and manage two of their branches. After a year and a half in that role, the Bank promoted me to be a Business Development and Loan officer, which required a move to Lancaster, OH. After being in Lancaster for a year, my wife and I had a longing to move back to West Virginia, which led to accepting a job as a Commercial Loan Officer in Morgantown, WV at a new bank. A year after accepting the new job, I was promoted me to Vice President. I had been working in that role for five years when MVB Bank was able to recruit me to move to their organization. After working for MVB for a year and a half, a Morgantown developer offered me a position to help direct and manage all of their financing needs while also becoming the operations manager for their various investment companies. I currently reside in Morgantown, WV with my wife (Karen), my son (Braxton), and my daughter (Kalena).
