Summer Alumni Updates

Eileen Clark (2019) has been busy with speaking engagements. In April, she spoke at the 31st Annual Quest for Excellence Conference on Cybersecurity. In May, she was on a CIO panel at the HFMA (healthcare financial management association) West Virginia Chapter where they discussed patient engagement strategies and cybersecurity.

Leadership West Virginia Executive Director Pam Farris was named a 2019 Sharp Shooter by West Virginia Executive Magazine! Four other LWV grads were honored. Congratulations, Diana Barnette (2012), George Manahan (2018), General James Hoyer (2015), and Nate Randolph (2015).

Laura Martin (2013) began a new role with American Water as the Director of Communications and External Affairs for American Water’s Mid-Atlantic Division.

Jaina Perry (2017)  is now working at The Greenbrier Resort as Regional Sales Manager for WV Corporate, western PA, Mid-West states and California. She is thrilled to be back with The Greenbrier family.

Laura Prisc (2011) recently published a book written specifically to address the people- and culture-related challenges faced by busy Executives. Prisc’s main premise is: Business is Simple. In late June, West Virginia Chamber of Commerce President, Steve Roberts received the Lorenelle White Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of The State Journal’s former owner, Lorenelle White. This award is presented to individuals who have shown a love for West Virginia and its people through their business and community involvement.

Seven Leadership West Virginia Graduates were recognized as “Generation Next” by the State Journal. Mitzi Vince (2011) and her husband Joshua welcomed their first child – Carter David Vince – on November 28, 2018.
